BDS 5.5" Lift Kit, 2015-2022 LWN

The new BDS Suspension 5.5" suspension system is design with our tried-and-true steering knuckle and crossmember technology. The system has passed FMVSS126 testing for stability control compliance. Heavy-duty fabricated crossmembers drop the lower control arms, perfectly matching the massive ductile cast iron extended steering knuckles to gain 5.5" of lift.

The crossmembers utilize the factory alignment eccentrics and tie together with a full-width skid plate. The skid plate protects the relocated differential that has been lowered and positioned to work precisely with the included transfer case indexing ring, allowing for the factory front drive shaft to be used.

The factory front struts are relocated using upper strut extensions that do not require disassembly of the strut. Front bump stop extension and sway bar links are included as well as new Moog tie rod ends to properly set alignment without trimming the inner tie rods.

In the rear, a simple block/u-bolt combination sets the new ride height so it is level with the front. Fox 2.0 or NX² series rear shocks are available to finish out the back.

Tire & Wheel Combinations (*Trimming may be required*)

• 305/55R20 w/20 x 9 and 5.25" back spacing

• 305/70R17 w/17x9 or 18x9 and 4.5" back spacing

• 295/70R17 w/17x8 or 18x8 and 4.5" back spacing

• Electronic assisted power steering system is sensitive to out of round, unbalanced, and more aggressive tread pattern tires. High speed steering wheel feedback can occur
• Stock 17" & 18" wheels can not be reinstalled with the lift kit. Aftermarket 20" wheels with maximum of 5.25" Backspacing are recommended - certain wheel and tire combinations will require weld on steering stops, these are included in the kit. See end of inst. sheet for details on installation.
